Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to deliver us
Galatians 1:3-4a
Who We Are
Our main purpose, as individuals and as a congregation, is to glorify and enjoy God. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the only rule to direct us how we may glorify and enjoy Him. Thus we are a Bible-centered, Christ-centered church, where the Scriptures are the foundation and the content of every part of our worship.
We seek to be a church where all are welcome - English-speaking and German-speaking, young and old, lifelong believers and those who have never entered a church. All of us stand in need of the grace of God in Christ, and the peace that Christ has purchased through his death and resurrection.
Our Beliefs
As a church which traces its roots back to the Protestant Reformation, we hold to the "5 Solas" which unite bible-believing Protestant churches around the world.
As a Reformed and Presbyterian church, we hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith, with its catechisms, as our statement of what the Bible teaches.
Like the vast majority of the church throughout the world and throughout history, we also hold to the following historical creeds of the church, which we regularly confess together as a congregation in worship:
The Apostles' Creed
The Nicene Creed
The Athanasian Creed
Our Denomination
GAPRC is part of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), a denomination committed to being “Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith, and Obedient to the Great Commission.” The PCA is Evangelical (proclaiming the gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus), Reformed (holding to the doctrines of the Protestant Reformation and recognizing the Westminster Confession and Catechisms), and governed by a representative Presbyterian structure of elders, presbyteries, and a General Assembly.
Our church was established and is supported through Ministry to the Military & Internationals (MMI), an organization focused on establishing Presbyterian, Reformed churches overseas that serve U.S. military-connected personnel, English-speaking internationals, and local nationals.
Our Pastor
Nathan Gibbs is originally from Washington State in the USA, where he was raised in a Christian family. He was on staff with Youth With a Mission (YWAM) from 2016 to 2019. While with YWAM, Nathan met his now wife, Lea, and they both moved close to Lea’s home in Germany.
Shortly after moving to Germany, Nathan became Reformed and Presbyterian in his theology, and in 2019 he and Lea found and became members of Covenant Fellowship Church (CFC) in Stuttgart, Germany. Sensing a call to pastoral ministry, Nathan served CFC as a pastoral intern (2020-2025) and as a Deacon (2022-2025) while studying at Edinburgh Theological Seminary from 2021 until his graduation in May 2025.
He was ordained as Assistant Pastor of CFC on September 7, 2025, with the special task of being sent to plant GAPRC with the assistance and oversight of CFC's Pastor and Elders.
